Like many compact cars, the Swift comes equipped with skinny 13-inch tires for great performance. The appropriate tire pressure for Suzuki Swift 98 is listed on a sticker on the doorframe. Check your tire pressure at least once a month, preferably when the tires are cold. Don't trust the pressure gauges at the gas stations. They can be off by as much as 5 psi, sometimes even more. Instead buy a digital tire pressure gauge and keep it in your glove department. Under-inflated tires can reduce your mileage by up to 8%. Also, if your steering appears stiffer than normal, you should check first your tire pressure. Suzuki Swift does not have power steering, so under-inflated tires make the steering very hard. Proper inflation may also fix any pull to the left or right. A car with evenly inflated tires should be albe to follow a straight line. |
